For over 30 years, groups of people in Nanaimo have been racing machines ressembling bathtubs in our coastal waters. The handmade vessels achieve speeds up to 30 mph and need to cover a distance of 36 miles. Known internationally as the World Championship Bathtub Race, the event annually attracts participants from all over the globe.
